Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations, conducting in-depth interviews to understand finances and tax implications. You will deliver personalized recommendations and identify savings opportunities, backed by training and technology.

This is an in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office. You will collaborate with team members to provide empathetic, consultative service, and you may assist with IRS

Qualifications

• Completion of H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Enrollment
• Minimum 1 year of tax prep/accounting experience (individual & business)
• Experience in client-facing/advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team and maintain a positive client-focused office environment
