Job summary

You will interview clients, identify savings opportunities, and deliver clear, personalized recommendations using our training and technology. In this in-person role, you’ll build lasting client relationships, provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed, and collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment 1
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Must complete continuing education and meet all IRS and state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
