H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, conduct client interviews, and identify tax savings opportunities while building lasting relationships in a local office.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPA/EA preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and product offerings
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive client-focused office environment
