You will prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and uncover tax savings opportunities using our training and technology, with a competitive hourly rate and incentive plan.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields, including returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Maintain continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation or related fields (preferred).
• CPA/EA or IRS Circular 230 credential is a plus.
• Experience with complex returns, tax planning, or audit support.
• Familiarity with GoSystem or Ultratax; AI tools like Copilot/ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients, including individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Deliver IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
