Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to assess financial situations, and offer personalized tax recommendations.

You will promote tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products while delivering empathetic, consultative service. You will provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed, collaborating with the team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing advisory roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts.
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications — then provide clear, personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
