Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for clients with complex tax situations and to build lasting client relationships.

You will interview clients, deliver personalized tax guidance, and help identify savings opportunities using industry-leading training and technology. This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate plus an incentive plan, with opportunities to grow in tax and financial services.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience in a client-facing or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
