Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns and advise clients in person at a local tax office. You will interview clients, identify tax savings, and provide clear recommendations while delivering empathetic, consultative service.

You will also support clients with IRS notices and build lasting relationships as you deepen your tax expertise through training and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience.
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
• Must satisfy continuing education and IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment.
