Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for diverse clients, interviewing to understand needs and offering personalized recommendations.

You will spot savings, deliver empathetic service, and leverage training and technology to support clients at a local in-person office. You will collaborate with teammates, provide IRS support and tax notice guidance, and contribute to a client-focused office culture while earning through an incentive plan

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related roles.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory capacity.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life events.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive office environment.
