Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields including individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations, including individual and business returns
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team, share knowledge, and maintain a client-focused office environment
