Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring an Experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal, in-person role at a local tax office. You will prepare complex returns, interview clients to assess tax situations, and offer personalized guidance while building lasting relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Must pass the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• At least 1 year in tax prep, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, incl. individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts simply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations (individual & business).
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and life changes.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and related H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to foster a positive, client-focused office environment.
