Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complete and accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations. You will interview clients, understand their financials, and offer personalized recommendations while leveraging HR Block's training and technology.

This is an in-person role at a local HR Block tax office. You will provide tax guidance, pursue savings opportunities, and collaborate with teammates in a supportive, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative or advisory roles.
• Strong communication skills for explaining taxes clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant HR Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a client-focused office environment.
