Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience working in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Must complete continuing education and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate individual and small business tax returns.
• Uncover savings opportunities for clients and maximize refunds where appropriate.
• Build lasting client relationships and provide advisory support on tax matters.
• Explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
