Job summary

H&R Block in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare complex returns and advise clients. You will interview clients to understand tax situations and provide personalized recommendations, building trusted relationships while maximizing eligible deductions and leveraging H&R Block products.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields; includes individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
