Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll train with experts and use advanced tools to deliver accurate returns and IRS support.

Responsibilities include conducting tax interviews (in person and virtual), preparing returns, growing the business, and mentoring teammates. A CPA/EA or progress toward certification is preferred, with a strong background in accounting or tax.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
