Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an experienced Tax Professional for a seasonal role to serve clients with diverse tax needs and support from a specialist team. You’ll interview clients, prepare complete tax returns, and help with tax planning.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in accounting, a CPA or EA certification, and 5+ years in tax or accounting. Experience with virtual tax interviews and franchise office collaboration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews and supporting clients remotely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support and audit representation where applicable.
• Mentor and support teammates.
