Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to interview clients and prepare complete and accurate tax returns. You will work to generate business growth, increase client retention, and provide IRS support using both in-person and virtual tools, under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, CPA/EA certification, and 5+ years in tax or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services
• Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation
• Mentor and support teammates
