Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and provide advanced tax training. You will conduct tax interviews using in-person and virtual tools, prepare returns, and help grow the practice with cross-selling and client retention efforts.

The role emphasizes delivery of IRS support, compliance with continuing education, and collaboration with a supportive team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support (including tax notices) and related services
• Mentor and support teammates
• Completion of H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2 (Your Expertise)
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort using virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Strong communication in person, by phone, and in writing
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or higher
