Job summary

You will conduct client interviews, identify savings opportunities, and support clients through tax notices and audits.

Applicants should have 1+ year of tax-related experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing IRS/state education. A degree in accounting/finance or CPA/EA credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles is preferred
• Familiarity with tax software such as GoSystem or Ultratax is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with teammates and contribute to a client-focused office environment
