Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns and advise clients through complex situations, supported by industry-leading training and technology.

This in-person role offers an hourly rate and an incentive plan to reward impact while you build tax expertise and client relationships. You will conduct client interviews, identify tax savings opportunities, provide IRS support, and collaborate with the office team to maintain a client-focused

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive office environment
