Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations. You will prepare complete and accurate returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to understand their finances, and offer personalized recommendations while leveraging industry-leading training and technology.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with a competitive hourly rate and incentive plan.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
