Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. seeks a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns and deliver consultative service to clients. You will interview clients to understand financials, identify tax savings, and advise on applicable H&R Block offerings.

In-person work at a local office is required. Required qualifications include tax knowledge assessment completion, 1 year of tax prep experience with both individual and business returns, strong communication, and ongoing education

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment and/or relevant tax training.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation experience including individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing advisory roles and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for diverse client situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financials and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, notice handling, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a positive, client-focused office.
