Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office in a hands-on, client-facing role. You will collect client information, prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates, and clearly explain tax concepts to clients.

The position offers on-the-job training and opportunities to grow tax knowledge and earnings during peak season. This in-person role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills, with availability for peak-season

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
