Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare returns and advise clients at a local tax office. You will deliver confident service backed by training and technology, with an incentive plan based on impact as you build tax expertise.

You will interview clients, identify tax savings opportunities, and provide personalized recommendations while maintaining strong relationships and compliance with IRS/state requirements.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related field, incl. individual & business returns
• Client-facing or advisory experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse client situations
• Conduct client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Provide tax savings opportunities and recommend H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and maintain a client-focused office environment
