This in-person role at a local tax office emphasizes client-focused service, collaboration with team members, and adherence to IRS and state requirements

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and present personalized recommendations.
• Provide IRS support, audit guidance, and notice resolution as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive office environment.
