Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses at a local office. You will interview clients, identify tax savings, and provide consultative service within a supportive, tech-enabled environment.

You’ll leverage training and tools to deliver compliant results, explain tax concepts in plain language, and build lasting client relationships during the tax season.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Must complete continuing education and meet all IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations, including individuals and businesses.
• Conduct client interviews to understand financials and tax implications; provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment.
