Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns and guide clients through complex tax situations at a local office. You will interview clients, identify savings opportunities, and build lasting relationships with a client-focused approach.

The role supports IRS and state requirements, delivers personalized recommendations, and leverages leading training and technology to enhance expertise. In-person office involvement is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including individual and business returns.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Must meet IRS and applicable state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations (individual and business).
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications; provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships through empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
