H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations and to prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses.

You will interview clients, deliver personalized recommendations, and leverage our training and technology to maximize savings. Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Experience in client facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including explaining tax concepts to clients
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field (preferred)
• 5+ years experience (preferred)
• CPA/EA or IRS Circular 230 credential (preferred)
• Experience with complex returns, tax planning, audit support or notice resolution (preferred)
• GoSystem or Ultratax familiarity (preferred)
• AI-powered tools familiarity (preferred)
• Experience in consultative/advisory client relationships (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide recommendations
• Build relationships by delivering consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office
