Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate tax returns and guide clients through complex situations. This in-person role focuses on client interviews, personalized tax planning, and opportunities for savings, backed by leading training and technology.

You will build lasting client relationships, offer IRS support, and collaborate with the team to maintain a positive, service-oriented office environment. 1+ year tax-related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Excellent client-facing communication and advisory skills
• Must comply with IRS/state requirements and continue education

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations (individual and business)
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities
• Offer IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused environment
