H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate in New Hampshire to start a career in tax and client services. You will meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions, with training from day one.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with a competitive hourly rate and opportunities to grow as tax knowledge increases. No prior tax experience is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
