H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns, interview clients, and deliver personalized tax advice. You will uncover savings opportunities and build lasting client relationships using our training and technology.

This in-person role offers an incentive plan and a competitive hourly rate. Successful candidates bring 1+ year in tax prep or related fields, strong communication skills, and IRS/state CE compliance.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations.
• Provide personalized tax recommendations and identify savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS notice support and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
