Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Experience in a client facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS and state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations including individual and business returns
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications and provide personalized recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
