The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with competitive hourly pay and an incentive plan based on impact and tax expertise development.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or enrollment in the assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS and state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications
• Provide recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities with H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team and foster a positive client-focused office environment
