Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to interview clients, prepare complete and accurate tax returns, and drive business growth. You’ll interact with clients in person or via virtual tools and provide IRS-related support as needed.

Ideal candidates have CPA/EA credentials or relevant experience, and can mentor teammates while maintaining high-quality client service in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support (All certification levels can provide tax notice services; Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation).
• Mentor and support teammates.
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience completing individual returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat.
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing.
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements.
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
