Job summary

You will prepare returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to assess financial situations, and offer personalized tax-saving recommendations while building lasting client relationships. You will collaborate with tax professionals and support staff, using advanced training and technology to deliver accurate results and responsive service.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide personalized recommendations and tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment
