Jackson Hewitt Inc. is seeking seasonal entry-level tax preparers to guide clients through tax preparation, explain forms, and file returns with accuracy.

You will conduct in-person interviews and help clients review their returns with IRS/state agencies, supporting a smooth tax season. The role emphasizes customer service, tax knowledge, and the ability to market services while maintaining compliance and high care for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
• PTIN Certification is required.
• Experience in accounting, finance, retail, bookkeeping, or tax preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS audit support.
• Complete all related tax forms in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Collect and process clients’ payments while ensuring timely deposits.
• Market and generate new business opportunities.
• Provide taxpayers with information to ensure correct tax form completion.
• Answer client calls via our national call center routing system.
• Provide future tax planning to clients.
• Resolve client complaints or refer to supervisor for resolution.
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
