Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. No prior tax experience is required, as full training and day-one support are provided to gather client information and prepare returns.

You will meet with clients, explain tax information clearly, identify opportunities for savings, and build lasting client relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
