Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in a local tax office. You will gather client information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building client relationships.

Training and support are provided from day one as you learn tax concepts and become proficient with our processes. The role emphasizes a client-first approach, collaboration, and in-person service during peak periods with opportunities to grow knowledge and earnings through performance and tax knowledge

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
