Job summary

H&R Block in the United States is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. You’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with guidance from experienced teammates.

This role starts with training and ongoing support and offers an opportunity to build tax knowledge and client relationships. Work is in-person during peak tax season, with a competitive hourly rate and potential to increase earnings as your knowledge grows.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems included AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
