Job summary

H&R Block in the United States is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate. You’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions, with training provided from day one.

This is an in-person role at a local tax office, offering an hourly rate that can grow as you build tax knowledge. Meet with clients, prepare returns with support from experienced teammates, explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and develop client relationships

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
