Job summary

H&R Block, in your local tax office, is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to learn tax and client services from day one. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

No prior tax experience is required; you’ll receive training and support, build client relationships, and have the chance to increase earnings as you expand tax knowledge. This role is in-person during tax season.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain information clearly.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
