Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services with no prior tax experience required. You’ll receive training from day one and work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and strong client relationships.

The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. You’ll meet with clients, prepare returns with guidance, explain tax information clearly, identify savings

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course 1.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address client questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
