H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with support from experienced teammates. You’ll explain tax details clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build client relationships in a local tax office.

This in-person role offers training and a competitive hourly rate with growth potential. No prior tax experience is required; a completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
