H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate for an in-person, office-based role. You’ll collect client information, prepare tax returns with guidance, and answer questions while building client relationships and knowledge in tax concepts.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as tax knowledge grows, and requires ability to work evenings and weekends during tax season.

Qualifications

• Completed H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
