H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our local office. You will meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns, and explain tax concepts in clear terms.

No prior tax experience is required, as training starts from day one and you’ll work with supportive teammates. This in-person role may require evenings and weekends during peak periods, with an hourly rate and growth opportunities as you learn.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-focused environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address client questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
