Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in person. No prior tax experience is required; with training from day one, you’ll gather client information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building client relationships.

You will meet with clients, prepare returns, explain tax information clearly, and identify savings opportunities with guidance from experienced teammates.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in service environment or customer-facing roles.
• Strong communication, including asking clarifying questions.
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot or ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations to clients.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information with guidance.
