Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates.

You will explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships in a collaborative office setting. No prior tax experience is required; in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office with training and support from day one.

Qualifications

• Completed the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
