Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate for an in-person office role. You will meet with clients, gather tax information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from teammates. You’ll explain tax details clearly, identify savings opportunities, and provide recommendations while building client relationships.

No prior tax experience is required; you’ll receive training from day one and have opportunities to earn more as you build tax knowledge in a local tax office environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
