H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to start a career in tax and client services. You’ll gather client information, prepare returns, and answer questions with day-one training.

This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate with potential to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge and experience. From the start, you’ll work directly with clients, build relationships, and contribute to office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based systems like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
