Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll meet with clients to collect information, prepare returns with training from experienced teammates, and clearly explain tax details.

You’ll spot savings opportunities and suggest relevant products and services while collaborating with the team to serve clients first. No prior tax experience is required; training starts day one and there’s potential to grow tax knowledge and earnings as you progress in

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems (AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT).
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
