Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare returns with guidance from experienced teammates. You’ll explain tax details clearly, spot potential savings, and address questions while building client relationships.

No prior tax experience required; comprehensive training and support start on day one. Enjoy an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain knowledge during tax

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
